​MATTHEW JOHNSON HARRIS

Matthew has worked as a director, choreographer, and producer for theatrical productions, online events, and music videos. He currently serves as a Core Instructor at Alvin Ailey's Extension. His specialties are hip hop, musical theatre, and working with children. He was mostly served as The Associate Director (Director Michael Arden) for Parade at New York City Center Encores and was a member of the the directing team for Hangmen (Director Matthew Dunster)  on Broadway. He also served as choreographer on Tituss Burgess's "Take Me To The World - A 90th Birthday Celebration for Stephen Sondheim" featuring Lillias White, Jane Krakowski, Michael McElroy, and Orfeh. Read a review here. He has also created multiple dance cardio formats that have been featured at Equinox, NYSC, and Alvin Ailey. He is also the creator and director  the popular Mosaic Concert Series at Middle Collegiate Church. Past performers have included cast members from the Broadway's Kinky Boots, Paradise Square, Hello Dolly, The Book of Mormon, Wicked, The Color Purple, Beautiful, Carousel, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and many more.
